Hey everybody

For the coming version of Luna (1.4), we're planning to improve the way we great users that log in on a board with a nice "Hi, <name>" or "Welcome back" or "Hello", etc. However, to make this even nicer, I'm looking for correct translations for one or more of the following phrases are said in multiple languages:

"Hi, <name>"
"Hello"
"Hello <name>"
"Hi there"
"Welcome back"
"Good morning"
"Good day"
"Good afternoon"
"Good night"

I'm covering Dutch myself. So I would be glad for some translations to German, French, Italian, Spain, Portuguese and other languages.

Thanks in advance
-- Yannick

Hi there, Will this translation string be in the language files or in the Luna core?
I think that's better to leave it to translators... However, Hope I help you.
Persian (Farsi) Translation:
"Hi, <name>"
"سلام، <name>"
"Hello"
"درود!"
"Hello <name>"
"سلام، <name>"
"Hi there"
"سلام بر شما"
"Welcome back"
"از بازگشت شما خوشحالیم!"
"Good morning"
"صبح بخیر"
"Good day"
"روز بخیر"
"Good afternoon"
"عصر بخیر"
"Good night"
"شب بخیر"

*UTF-8's required to display the texts nicely.

This will be hardcoded in the Luna Core. The point is that no matter what language you visit a board in, it will display at random one of these strings in one of the hard coded languages. So on this board, for example, it would start to say "Bonjour", "Hallo", "Welkom terug", "Hi there", etc. choosing between random strings. Obviously, we'll make sure that time specific strings can only show up when they are appropriate.

I can do the german part:
"Hi, <name>" is the same
"Hello" equals "Hallo"
"Hello <name>" equals "Hallo <name>"
"Hi there" equals "Na du" (Its colloquial in german though, so one should better use "Hallo" instead)
"Welcome back" equals "Wilkommen zurück"
"Good morning" equals "Guten Morgen'
"Good day" equals "Guten Tag"
"Good afternoon" equals "Guten Nachmittag"
"Good night" equals "Gute Nacht"

regards
